MARTY WILDE – 83

Marty has been working non-stop in music tours along with his contemporaries. He was born in Blackheath, South-east London, while his dad had a flair for music. After falling head over heels with Joyce Smith (his wife) they went on to have four beautiful kids together. His show Born to Rock ‘n’ Roll was critically acclaimed.

Donna and Endless Sleep tracks became a hit and stayed on the charts for a very long time. Wilde’s kids Roxanne, Kim and Ricky pursued careers in singing. He is a proud grandfather of talented grandkids who are interested in music and feels he has passed on his legacy.

 

Tommy Steele – 85

Tommy is Britain’s first teen idol and rock and roll star. He reached the number one position after he sang Singing The Blues in 1957. Moreover, The rock star is also a sculptor, author, and songwriter. The genres that he specializes in include rock and roll and skiffle. Steele has given insights about his life in his autobiography Bermondsey Boy: Memories Of A Forgotten World.

He is also recognized as a sculptor. Four of his works have been displayed publicly. As a writer, he wrote and published the Final Run that revolved around World War 2. Tommy has written some children’s novels as well.

Harry Belafonte – 95 Years

Harry Belafonte is an impeccable singer and songwriter who was born in New York City on March 1, 1927. He was raised in Jamaica, in the British West Indies, and performed folk music in nightclubs, theaters, and on television. He received his training at the New York Dramatic Workshop. Eventually, he made his debut at the legendary jazz club “Village Vanguard.”

Additionally, he has a music publishing company as well as a film production company. But Harry did not just stop there. He went ahead to become an excellent actor. Some of his film credits include Bright Road, Island in the Sun, The World, the Flesh, and the Devil, among others.

JULIAN LENNON – AGE 59

Julian Lennon is a famous English singer, songwriter, photographer, and philanthropist. His mother, Cynthia Powell, was the first wife of John Lennon, but the couple later got separated in 1968. His father bought him a Gibson Les Paul guitar and a drum machine as a Christmas gift, developing his interest in music.

Lennon also has a great interest in photography, and his famous exhibition called the Timeless: The Photography of Julian Lennon and the Alone Collection are true witnesses of that. Recently, Lennon became the first-fine arts photographer to get featured at the new gallery in Aston Martin Residences Miami.

Engelbert Humperdinck – 86

Engelbert Humperdinck was a prominent singer in the 1960s who has continued to perform for fans all around the world far into his late eighties. In 1967, the British pop singer scored two massive number ones with the songs “Release Me and The Last Waltz, each selling over a million copies globally. Whereas his other singles like After the Lovin and This Moment in Time were some of the North American hits.

For her outstanding talent and perfection, Engelbert has been dubbed “one of the finest middle-of-the-road balladeers around.” Getting into his personal life, the artist was married to his loving wife in 1964 and had four children.
