Jimmy Carter – Age 98

Currently being the earliest-serving, living former President of the U.S., Carter served as a Georgia State Senator prior to being the 39th President. Carter was in the U.S. Navy and returned home to his peanut-farming inheritance after his father died. Motivated to support the civil rights movement, Carter became a Democratic Party activist. He defeated Gerald Ford in a close election and was in office from 1977 until 1981. During his time as President, Carter established two new departments, for Energy and Education. In 2002, he won a Nobel Peace Prize for co-founding the Carter Center and remained active in various charitable and human-rights organizations.
