They have been in the limelight their whole career with all kinds of glitz and glamour, but they never let a little thing like that stop them from living an amazing life.

Here are some veteran celebrities who made sure to put themselves first before anything else when it comes to love.

Bob Barker, 96 (Married for 75 years)

Bob Barker is the name associated with one of the longest-running television shows, The Price is Right. The show ran from 1972 – 2007 after Braker took retirement from the front. The show itself holds the record for being the first hour-long game show. Equally long was Bob’s commitment to this show as he devoted thirty-five years of his career to the show.

Barker married his high school love, Dorothy Jo Gideon. Their marriage lasted until she passed away due to cancer in 1981. The couple fell in love when they were fifteen, and their relationship is a testament to Bob’s nature of long-term commitment to everything in his life.

Mel Brooks, 94 (Married for 41 years)

Brooks is an American actor, comedian, composer, writer, director, and producer. His career took off as a comic and a writer for Your Shows of Shows alongside Woody Allen, Neil Simon, and Larry Gelbart. Despite this, he has written the hit comedy series Get Smart with Buck Henry. Several of his movies featured in the top ten moneymaker lists.

Mel married Florence Baum in 1953, and they got divorced in 1962. They have three children: Stephanie, Nicky, and Eddie. Two years later, he married stage, film, and television actress Anne Bancroft. They blissfully remained together until Anne died in 2005. The couple gave birth to a baby boy in 1972.

Nancy Sinatra, 80 (Married for 50 years)

Nancy is a direct descendant of Frank Sinatra, one of the most famous American singers and actors in the 20th century. Hence, Nancy’s These Boots Are Made for Walkin was an instant success and was a music chart-topper in 1966. Sinatra wedded Hugh Lambert in early 1970. The pair gave birth to their two daughters in the following years.

Despite being known for her cover-girl persona, Nancy put a break on her career to raise her children in the ’80s. When Lambert died of cancer, Sinatra took a step back from Hollywood to devote her time to her kids. Nancy has two daughters.

Rowan Atkinson, 65 (Dating for 7 years)

The role of Mr. Bean is played by Rowan Atkinson, one of the most iconic characters in comedy history. Naturally, the British actor/comedian was named one of the 50 funniest actors in British comedy in 2007. Multiple generations have gotten the chance to enjoy Rowan’s work over the years. Atkinson married a makeup artist at BBC – Sunetra Sastry, in 1990.

Rowan filed for divorce after 24 years of marriage. He started dating fellow comedian Louise Ford in 2014. Despite facing some significant scrutiny from the media for the couple’s age gap, they remain happy in their relationship. You know how the saying goes; the heart wants what it wants!

Joanne Woodward, 90 (Married for 50 years)

Joanne Gignilliant Trimmier Woodward is a three-time winner of the Primetime Emmy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards. Besides, she the oldest actress to score the Best Actress Academy Award after the demise of Olivia de Havilland in July 2020. Joanne remained in marriage to actor Paul Newman for five decades until his passing in 2008 due to lung cancer.

Before this, the actress was engaged to author Gore Vidal who later came out as gay. However, they continued to share a home in LA and remained good friends. Woodward shares three daughters with Newman and now lives in Westport, Connecticut.

Tina Louise, 86 (Married for 8 years)

This American actress has had an abundantly successful career. Her roles in The Trap, Hangman, and The Happy Ending have been note-worthy. Her debut was in God’s Little Acre, and she grabbed a Golden Globe for it. Tina married Les Crane, radio and T.V. announcer, in 1966.

Louise wasn’t just limited to acting, and she co-produced a show for MTV alongside her daughter. Moreover, she even published a novel: Stupid and Contagious. In addition, the actress has been deeply involved with literacy programs for children and charity work. Likewise, she has written a children’s book, When I Grow Up, inspiring children to believe in themselves.
