Who doesn’t want to own an island? Well, Leonardo DiCaprio, the famous actor and environmentalist, bought himself a 104-acre isle known as Belize’s Blackadore Caye in 2005. DiCaprio invested millions into turning this project into a luxurious eco-resort that hosts 36 residential homes and 36 villas (all rumored to be sold at around $5 million each). The construction is nearly done and everything was constructed using local materials and powered by solar panels. Going green all the way, all vehicles on the island will use clean energy and only reusable water bottles will be sold. The food will also be locally produced and organic.
